I try to focus on a very particular type of task:
- You need data from a website downloaded in data format file/s (CSV, XLSX, etc).
It is hard to anticipate complexity before I get your specs, but generally I would categorize jobs in:
- 1-2 days delivery: The website has under 20k pages and good speed. Steps to obtain the data are basic (no click on a tab and wait for a spinner, etc).
- 1 week delivery: Up to 100k pages. Total HTML to download ranges up to 3-10 GB. Website structure can be more complicated (multiple listing page formats, clicking some tabs to get data, etc).
- 2 weeks delivery: Up to 500k pages, HTML up to 10-30GB in total.
But it is not the purpose that you know upfront which of the 3 categories to choose. In some cases I may crawl up to 1 mil pages at the price of 100k pages. In other (rare) cases the data can not be scraped or can cost even more.
So please contact me upfront with the specs and I'll provide you a more customized offer.
