Unfortunately this was not a good experience with this freelancer. I worked with him on another project before and was pleased with this his work. But this time it was almost like it was working with a completely different person. His attitude was different. His attention to detail was poor. His availability was sporadic.
I sent him a long list of specific things that were not done or done incorrectly. I will not try to embarrass the freelancer here by listing all of those things here. He is a good guy overall and I like him as a person, but his performance was really not very good at all. Very poor, very shabby, and very sloppy.
Full disclosure: I requested a partial refund after this project because so much work was done sloppily or not at all. I requested a refund not because I needed the money, but because I really felt ripped off or robbed by the freelancer. He promised things up front that were not delivered. Said he could do things, that were not done. He refused to give the partial refund. I am sure he will respond with a list of reasons and pointing fingers at me, and that is his choice. I usually do not write negative reviews, but this time I felt I had no choice. It was that bad of an experience.
I will not work with this freelancer again.
And I also would not recommend him for a project that is similar to this one.
Overall it was a very disappointing, frustrating, and sad experience. I hold no personal grudge toward this freelancer and I wish him the best in the future. But I had to document some of things that went totally wrong with this project.
