I advanced from E-1 to E-6 in the military in 4 years, which is 6 years ahead of schedule. I advanced to E-7 4 years later, E-8 two years later. I consistently create goals and development plans for myself to execute and I do the same for up to 18 personnel in my current role as a supervisor.
