In all my communications roles, I have focused on creating a brand for organizations, building email lists, and nurturing leads through written communications. I work with email automation software (Mailchimp, Bloomerang, & WordPress), sending out email blasts, newsletters, and more, all with the goal of increasing organizational awareness and establishing an organization’s place in the competitive market. I also have experience in managing and overseeing the development of websites.
In my current role as Deputy Director at a non-profit in Washington, DC, I prepare program and financial reports, minutes, and other materials to support Board oversight and the work of its committees. I also develop and oversee the educational and cultural programs by managing the entire program lifecycle, including program design, promotion and outreach, and post-program reporting. To reinforce donor trust and ensure compliance with financial regulations, I ensure the prompt issuance of acknowledgment and tax receipt letters. Managing donor communications is another aspect of my role, where I oversee donor record keeping and maintaining detailed record of donor information, including contact details and donor's history with the organization. I also manage communications with donors through emails, letters, or calls, including sending targeted messages to specific donor groups and string donor-related documentation for audits and compliance purposes. I excel at networking and building relationships with individuals and organizations that align with and strengthen our organization's programs and mission. Furthermore, I develop and oversee the production and distribution of fundraising appeals, utilizing both traditional and digital channels to maximize outreach. Lastly, I manage the internship program, including recruitment, coordination, training, ongoing support, and follow-up.
