Allow me to paint a picture for you real quick.
It started with an idea, doesnt matter how you got it. Maybe you were running an errand or having a long bath (wink).
So yeah, you got the idea, you did some googling here and there and found out it has potential. You see it solves a real problem that real people have.
You do more googling, see other campaigns and see how professionally designed they are, good looking cinema quality videos, hot & sexy graphics, witty copywriting and you wonder WTH, i cant do this on my own??????
So, you do some more googling (sigh), only to find that there are dedicated agencies out there providing Kickstarter campaign design services, kickstarter video services. You take a leap and ask for a quote. Next thing you know you are on a call with their "sales" guy who's telling you how they carefully choose a project to work on, how their agency is the holy grail of Kickstarters (hint: it's not). At the end of the call, they slap you with a quote so high that was your last year salary. $15K for a campaign design, $25K for a video and $30K for marketing.
No Thanks, i'll pass. If i had that kind of money i wouldn't be watching youtube videos on "how to get rich in 21 days".
