Two simple animated videos needed for web project
Here's the TL;DR - if you're on the fence about hiring Miguel because he's new on the platform, DON'T BE. He is amazing to work with. Great attitude, responsiveness and work. I'd hire him again in a heartbeat.
I've hired a bunch of contractors during my career. The good ones are hard to find. They show up when expected, make working with them easy, produce work that hits the mark. You love finding them because you know you have a reliable source to hand off work, and they make the process enjoyable. They make you look good.
Great ones are a different breed. They bring ideas that change the conversation, elevate the work product to a different level and often surprise you with the way they produce. They care about what they make, but also take direction and input without being egotistical. They learn new things and bring them into projects in unique ways.
Miguel has all the makings of being great. Now, he's still a student, learning the ropes. Our project wasn't ground breaking or overly complex. But we came to him with some vague requirements, and he did a few things that set him apart. He gave us some great options to change the style of the animation which we never thought about. He responded to our questions and requests quickly, testing some ideas in the process that we didn't think of. He didn't just copy what we had, he made suggestions that made it better.
The end result is better than we had hoped for and we are thrilled with the way it looks. Can't say enough good things about him. He was so easy to work with wouldn't hesitate to do it again.
