About Jakub

Musical arrangement and transcription
Letovice, Czech Republic - 8:06 am local time
For some people, music is a matter of feelings or abstract ideas. For me, music is a matter of effort - 5% of inspiration and 95% percent of hard work. It’s like any other craft: it can be done poorly or well.

My experience
• 6 years arranging experience for choir/band/orchestra/soloists, but also smaller ones
• More than 10 years experience in band playing, mostly like a keyboard player or a bass guitarist, sometimes a drummer or a guitarist
• Houndred hours of studio-recording work, audio editing, and analysis
• 4 years experience with leading a chamber choir
• Rich experience in transcribing on upwork, private clients, or world • companies: Check tunescribers.com or latinhorncharts.com for a reference
• I’ve worked in Germany, France, Belgium, Poland, Russia, Greece
• Street musician (Russia, Georgia, Armenia, Turkey, Germany, Belgium, France, Poland, Austria)

I consider flexibility and wide perspective as my main strong point. I’ve got my first musical inspiration rom my father, who plays folklore music, later I started playing with pop/rock/jazz bands, and studied classical music, so I have insight into all of those styles. Besides, being a multi-instrumentalist is definitely an advantage when arranging - that’s why I decided to try it, and stayed with it.
I’m not very interested in singing or voice techniques, but I definitely love finding out how instruments work together in an arrange, I like looking for better harmonies, voicing, instrumentation.

Composing, sheet music works/arranging
• orchestral arrangements, orchestration
• creating arrangements of existing song for particular esemble (e.g. We Are The Champions for string quartet, or Shape of you for piano in style of J.S.Bach)
• music transcription: from audio, midi, or scanned sheets to PDF
• sheet formatting, proofreading, creating and formatting of parts for musicians
• using Sibelius or Musescore

Audio production/engeneering:
• composition
• midi sequencing, creating midi from audio or sheet
• creating audio from midi, using sampled instruments (specialized on piano)
• cutting of spoken word
• removing noise, enhancing audio, (EQ, compression,...)
• audio format conversion

Steps for completing your project

After purchasing the project, send requirements so Jakub can start the project.

Delivery time starts when Jakub receives requirements from you.

Jakub works on your project following the steps below.

Revisions may occur after the delivery date.

Gather requirements

I will need to know, which instruments you need to transcribe, and what is arrange made for (for piano solo, for quartet,...) You can also mention your special requirements.

Create first version

Here, I will do my best to meet your expectations in this step. But not every time this happens - you may realize, that actually other tonality would be better? No problem, let's make a revision.

Review the work, release payment, and leave feedback to Jakub.
