About Keith
My name is Keith, and I've been a working music professional for the past 15 years. I studied music performance and audio engineering while in college, but gained a lot of practical, real world experience through my endeavors as a freelance and hired engineer/musician.
I'm open to any and all styles/genres, but my main focus is on Acoustic & Electric Singer-Songwriter, Americana, Rock (of any form), Jazz Fusion, Funk, and Electronica. I can design, edit, produce, mix and record audio, but I can also help with arrangements, composition and performance of pieces/tracks. I sing, play bass, a little keys, and I have the ability to sequence/program drums and key/synth parts. I've written and arranged songs in every project I've been apart of, and I find it to be one of the best parts of making music.
I mix in an in the box environment using a Macbook Pro with Cubase, a 24bit/192khz Steinberg UR22 mkII interface, high quality virtual components including Waves Mercury Bundle (with SSL, API, H-Series and CLA plug-ins), Mackie 1604-VLZ Mixer (for metering & monitoring), KRK RP5 V4 Monitors, and Sennhesier Headphones.

Gather Information
Firstly I will need to know all the basic information for your track, i.e...recording format, structure, key(s)/progression(s)/feel(s), tempo, any reference tracks you would like to emulate, and anything you will expect out of the track.
Create Template, Listen and Rehearse
After I know all the information about your track I will then create a template in my DAW and notes that map out all the parts and needs for the track. I be listening to the track as I make the template, and I will begin to create parts/lines.
