Video editor needed for back-end editing of feature length documentary
When we hired Dusan, we handed him the reigns on a feature-length documentary on Hawaiian traditions and family that needed quite a lot of work. As first-time filmmakers, we had done our best to edit together a truly rough rough cut, but everything from our film’s pacing to it’s sound, color and content was…all over the place. Dusan took on the job with the utmost confidence and professionalism and worked patiently with us through months of headaches, including a hard drive lost in US Postal Service hell and several big directional changes on our part. Dusan knew how to handle everything perfectly—and how to assure us that this film was going to get done and get done right. He was responsive, efficient and proved to be one of the most hard-working and talented editors you will find on this site. He edited our film to all of our specifications on Premiere Pro and, when given some creative freedom, blew us away with his vision. He listened to our ideas and engaged deeply with the film, getting to know our characters, their backstories and what footage really made them shine. Our film went from something that looked like a decent student project to as professional as our footage would allow. When we were pressed for deadlines in submitting to festivals, Dusan was there with us at 4 in the morning, putting in the hours to get this project where it needed to be. I am confident this man can handle any video project you can throw at him, and he’ll do it with style. He is an absolute 11/10, 6-star editor and we can not overstate how valuable a member of our post-production team he became. Book him now!
