I'm Dr. Todd Bottom, and I help graduate students to produce better research and writing so they can graduate sooner. I do this by guiding them through every step of their Thesis or Dissertation process, from developing a topic to improving the quality of their writing, and preparing for their final defense.
I earned my Master’s degree in Psychology and my Ph.D. in Community Psychology from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois and I have over 13 years of professional research experience, including university teaching, education research and pre-trial pharma studies. My own Thesis and Dissertation were quantitative in nature and included data analyses such as Pearson correlations, t-tests, hierarchical regression, ANOVA/MANOVA, path analysis, factor analysis (exploratory and confirmatory).
I published my first research paper before even beginning graduate studies, and published seven more before finishing my Ph.D. as sole, lead, and co-author. Along with my academic peers and student mentees, I presented my research over 100 times at dozens of research conferences in Illinois, Florida, New York, Boston, and Washington, D.C. In addition to defending and publishing my own academic work, I've also written manuscripts for university clients, edited non-native English research, and have over a decade of professional writing experience.
In 2018 I founded Research Learning Center and began to dedicate 100% of my time to helping students with their research and writing. As of October 2020, members in our community included over 1,600 researchers and another 1,677 students from 112 countries have enrolled in my online courses.
