I am a British-Brazilian national who is truly bilingual, equally articulate in English as well as in Portuguese, and passionate about languages.
I have been a freelance translator for most of my adult life, translating texts from several fields, most notably scientific academic dissertations for publishing, as well as literature, philosophy and finance, to name a few. I also have an extensive academic background in translation since 1986, working with José Paulo Paes a Brazilian poet, literary critic and Director of The Translation and Poetry Workshop of Universidade Estadual de Campinas (Unicamp) Language Studies Institute. My MSc at Imperial College London was taken on Evaluation of Machine Translation.
Together with an impeccable professional manner, my core competencies include:
