I made the move from Greenbrier, AR to Jonesboro, AR in 2013 when I started at Arkansas State University as a freshman. I made a name for myself during my collegiate career by being very active on campus. I was first known as the campus photographer through my involvement with the school newspaper as well as through the yearbook. When I became the yearbook editor, the president of the A-State Phi Beta Lambda chapter and the Arkansas Phi Beta Lambda Director of Marketing and PR the names people had for me changed. I was known as a couple different things during this time. “Madam President” was by far my favorite, but “the state officer” and “the yearbook girl” weren’t so bad either. Most importantly though I was known as a someone who can achieve anything they put their mind too. I placed 3rd in the nation in Marketing Concepts and I’m not even a marketing major! I also have had several other awards in marketing, advertising, design, and photography.

Now that I have graduated college (cum laude) I have moved on to a new chapter in my life as well as a new name; “Community Engagement Director.” You can find me right now working on engaging the community through economic development and public relations at East Arkansas Planning & Development.
