I'm offering this sample of my work to new clients looking to form a relationship with a dependable editor. I will review up to 1000 words, applying as light or heavy a touch as you request.
A copy edit improves flow, clarity, awkward wording, repetition, crutch words, and inconsistency.
A proofread will correct spelling, punctuation, grammar, word usage, syntax, and formatting.
You can request a light or heavy edit. For a light copy edit, I'll look for sentence-level improvements and comment on larger issues but won't rewrite the text. For a heavy edit, I will make in-line suggestions and minor rewrites to improve the text on a paragraph level.
