Project details

The study of this project was aimed at designing a home security system that could detect presence of an intruder, calculate the distance of their approach, notify the owner of the intrusion and even warn the intruder not to make a move by use of a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD). The study comprised of an Arduino Uno board to be interfaced with a GSM (Global System for Mobile communication) module, Passive infrared sensor (PIR), Buzzer and a Light Emitting Diode (LED) which were expected to produce the results. The GSM was to send a notification to the owner after detection by the PIR sensor and the signals from the buzzer and the LED were also to be observed.
