I am a lender to a cannabis company (borrower) in Puerto Rico and we've issued a notice of default to the borrower. I have two corporate lawyers I work with on such matters, but I'd like to find a very experienced lawyer for these situations to help put together the step-by-step actions and considerations which we can take in the process. You will be given all the documents necessary to review and understand objectively the situation. I'd like to get started right away. The next step would be to indicate your interest and explain your experience in these sorts of situations. Thank you for your consideration.

Job Title: Class Action Lawsuit Lawyer Location: Anywhere outside Minnesota (Remote work) Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced lawyer to represent approximately 100 residents in a class action lawsuit against an apartment management company located in Minnesota. The management company has consistently neglected maintenance requests, failed to address apartment issues, and allowed amenities to remain non-functional for years, despite residents' payments for these amenities. Additionally, residents unknowingly signed a lease agreement containing a no-class action lawsuit clause, and the management company attempts to silence residents by requiring them to sign NDAs after maintenance requests are completed. Residents are experiencing severe issues such as leaking ceilings, which have been neglected for years, leading to ceilings collapsing from the rafters. Responsibilities: 1. Provide legal counsel and representation to the residents in a class action lawsuit against the apartment management company. 2. Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to build a strong case against the management company, focusing on breaches of contract, negligence, and any other relevant legal grounds. 3. Collaborate with the residents to gather evidence, including documentation of maintenance requests, communication with the management company, and lease agreements containing no-class action lawsuit clauses and NDAs. 4. Investigate and document specific instances of negligence and disregard for resident safety and well-being, such as leaking ceilings and collapsing structures. 5. Develop and implement a legal strategy to effectively advocate for the residents' rights and interests in court. 6. Communicate regularly with the residents to provide updates on the progress of the lawsuit and address any questions or concerns they may have. 7. Represent the residents in negotiations with the management company and other parties involved in the case. 8. Prepare and file all necessary legal documents and pleadings with the appropriate courts. Qualifications: 1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. 2. Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction(s). 3. Proven experience in handling complex civil litigation cases, preferably including class action lawsuits. 4. Strong knowledge of contract law, property law, and landlord-tenant law. 5. Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills. 6. Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of clients and stakeholders. 7. Demonstrated commitment to advocating for justice and protecting the rights of individuals. If you are passionate about fighting for the rights of tenants and have the skills and experience to represent our residents in this important legal matter, we encourage you to apply.

My company does virtual care management services for physicians. Doctors hire us to implement remote patient care and they bill health insurers for our work. One physician practice utilized our services for 9 months and racked up about $16K worth of bills and hasn't paid a dime. Between contract interest charges and massive time burdon plus materials, this is a $20-25K+ lawsuit. I wanted to do this pro se, but it appears that c-corps can't have representatives file civil suits pro se. I'm looking for a lawyer to represent us in the lawsuit and litigate. I don't believe that it will be a lengthy process.

Looking for someone to see if they can help me for either profiteering or maybe Usury rates ( in an investment exchange (Crypto) that charged an APR of 47% for Margin rates. Deceptive as they showed it as per 6 hrs and was pretty well hidden. Looking for someone who knows securities law and regulatory compliance. Looking to file a motion against them. ChatGPT said this : In the U.S., margin rates are not directly regulated by usury laws. However, they are overseen by financial regulators such as the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). These organizations set rules on how much brokers can lend to clients for buying securities on margin and how they disclose these rates. The rates must be reasonable in relation to the risk of the loan.

I have a publishing contract for a parents guide. The editor that was assigned to me kept putting in misinformation and misleading information and many times refused to remove it. Some of the advice was outright wrong. When the advance copy was sent to reviewers, they pointed out the errors, as well as I pointed out the errors and told them that if not corrected, the book would loose credibility snd families could be harmed if they followed some of the bad advice. That was turned back on me and the contract was terminated 3 mos before release because I exposed them to liability.
