Role Overview
Predicta Analytics is seeking an Accounting and Financial Reporting Expert to design and define functional specifications for financial and management reports. The expert will identify and document key KPIs, metrics, and data requirements by leveraging leading cloud accounting applications such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and others.
The ideal candidate will combine strong accounting and finance domain knowledge with a solid understanding of cloud-based accounting systems and their data structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze financial reporting requirements and translate them into detailed functional specifications.
- Design standard and custom KPI frameworks, reports, and dashboards aligned with business goals.
- Map report requirements to underlying data structures across applications (QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, etc.).
- Work closely with data engineers and analytics teams to enable accurate and scalable data models.
- Review existing accounting workflows and identify opportunities for automation and optimization.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and reporting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
- Validate financial data integrity and consistency across systems and reports.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years preferred) in financial reporting, accounting operations, or FP&A.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of at least two cloud platforms: QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, FreshBooks, or similar.
- Understanding of data structures, schema, and API connections in cloud finance applications.
- Experience defining reporting KPIs (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, AR/AP metrics, etc.).
- Familiarity with data integration and business intelligence tools is a plus (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.).
- Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in financial process transformation or system implementation projects.
- Understanding of SQL or data modeling concepts.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA are advantageous.
