🎧 Cinematic Soundscape editor for audio series
Worldwide
I’m producing a series of immersive Adventure audio series — 30–40 minute documentary-style soundscapes that accompany illustrated artefacts.
Each episode blends:
• My narration (already recorded)
• Fully built environmental soundscapes
• Custom-crafted SFX layers
• Minimal, atmospheric music
Your role is to take:
• My narration
• My section-by-section sound brief
…and create the full sound world from scratch.
This means:
• You must provide OR design all ambiences, environmental beds, SFX layers, and atmospheric music cues needed for the episode.
⸻
What I Will Provide
🎙 1. Narration Audio
• Clean VO (30–40 minutes)
• Marked sections
• Pacing and emotional notes
🎧 2. Detailed Soundscape Instructions
For every segment:
• Required ambience (forest, storm, delta, savannah, shoreline, camp, etc.)
• SFX elements (wind, animals, footsteps, paddle strokes, insects, weather)
• Emotional tone
• Intensity arc
• Scene transitions
You will translate this into a living, breathing, layered sonic environment.
⸻
🎛 2. Full Soundscape Construction
You will:
• Layer, blend, and spatially position all sounds
• Build immersive scene transitions
• Make each location feel alive but not busy
• Follow my detailed brief, adjusting creatively where needed
🎼 3. Voice Mixing, Music Integration, & Mastering
• Clean and warm narration
• Balance speech with ambience
• Light atmospheric music (no dramatic stingers)
• Master at -16 LUFS, distribution safe
• Deliver WAV + MP3 + licensing summary
⸻
Desired Style References
Please review these before applying:
Energy & pacing:
• BBC Earth
• National Geographic expedition narration
• Slow cinema ethos
• Tim Kellner ambient tone
• Kraig Adams quiet atmosphere
Not acceptable:
• Overproduced Hollywood trailer sound
• Loud, synthetic, fast-paced SFX
• Stock “YouTube whooshes”
• Repetitive loops without depth
The sound must feel real, textured, grounded, cinematic.
⸻
Ideal Candidate
You should be comfortable with:
• Nature/wildlife sound design
• Documentary-style ambience building
• Immersive storytelling
• Ambient/ASMR long-form mixes
• Foley + environmental recreation
• Creating cohesive audio worlds from scratch
Tools you might use:
• Pro Tools
• Reaper
• Logic Pro
• Adobe Audition
• Ableton for creative layering
⸻
Project Timeline & Ongoing Work
This job is for one full 30–40 minute episode, but I’m building an ongoing series:
• 1 new episode every 4–6 weeks
• Each based around a new illustrated adventure map
• Long-term collaboration for the right creative partner
⸻
