Coffee Roaster Mechanical Design

Looking for a mechanical engineer to help bring a small-capacity fluid bed coffee roaster (approx. 1 kg of green beans) from concept to manufacturable design.
I already have a preliminary schematic showing where each component should be located, along with part numbers for the key hardware elements. Your task will be to transform this concept into a full, production-ready mechanical design.

What you’ll work on:

Mechanical design of the full roaster assembly (primarily steel construction)

Developing fabrication-ready drawings and models

Designing sheet metal parts, structural elements, airflow components, and enclosure

Ensuring proper integration of the components provided in the schematic

Generating files suitable for manufacturing (2D drawings, STEP, DXF, etc.)

Ideal experience:

Strong background in mechanical design and sheet metal fabrication

Experience designing fluid bed machines, roasting equipment, thermal systems, or similar airflow/heat devices is a plus

Fluency in SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or Inventor

Ability to produce high-quality fabrication drawings and assemblies

Understanding of airflow, heat management, and mechanical integration

Deliverables:

3D CAD assembly

Fabrication drawings (PDF + source CAD files)

Laser-cut / bent sheet metal files (DXF)

Bill of materials review and integration
