DevOps / Mac Infrastructure Engineer Needed (Mac Mini Servers + Automation + Monitoring)

We’re looking for a DevOps / Infrastructure engineer with strong Mac architecture or macOS server experience to help automate and stabilize our internal infrastructure.

Arnio operates multiple Mac Mini servers running a custom application. We need someone who can help us streamline automation, improve reliability, and build lightweight monitoring around our existing setup.

This is a straightforward project if you have experience with macOS, scripting, and server automation.

📌 What We Need Help With

1. Automation & Scripting
• Create or improve automated scripts for:
• Detecting server outages
• Detecting when our internal Mac application stops running
• Auto-restarting services when necessary
• Scheduled health checks

2. Monitoring Setup (Affordable Alternative to Datadog)
• Recommend and set up a low-cost monitoring system (cheaper than Datadog)
• Real-time alerts for:
• CPU/RAM thresholds
• Disk usage
• Application failures
• Server crashes
• Network issues
• Ideally integrate with Slack, email, or webhook alerts

3. Reliability & Infrastructure Support
• Help us prepare a simple, secure way to monitor all servers at once
• Assist in optimizing Mac Mini performance for our application
• Basic security hardening (best practices)

📌 Ideal Experience
• macOS scripting (Bash, Zsh, or Python)
• Experience with Mac Mini servers (local or cloud-hosted)
• DevOps tooling (supervisord, cron jobs, launchd, etc.)
• Server monitoring tools (Prometheus, Uptime Kuma, Zabbix, Healthchecks.io, Dozzle, Grafana, etc.)
• Familiar with Cloudflare Tunnels (nice to have)
• Strong debugging + automation mindset
