We are a higher education institution specializing in Nursing programs. We’ve developed comprehensive student and faculty binders (currently in Google Docs) that need to be professionally edited, formatted, and optimized for publication and institutional use.
We are looking for a meticulous Editor and Publishing Specialist who can transform these internal academic documents into polished, visually organized, print- and digital-ready resources that reflect excellence and consistency across our institution.
What You’ll Do
- Review and refine existing Google Docs binders for clarity, consistency, and accuracy.
- Ensure brand, formatting, and stylistic uniformity across all documents.
- Create clean, professional layouts with table of contents, headers, footers, and section organization.
- Optimize documents for print, digital sharing, and long-term version control.
- Improve document flow and readability without altering institutional tone or compliance content.
- Work closely with academic and administrative teams to finalize documents for publication.
Ideal Candidate
You are:
- An editorial perfectionist with a sharp eye for layout, consistency, and design flow.
- Experienced in academic or institutional publishing, ideally in higher education.
- Proficient with Google Docs and Microsoft Word (styles, formatting, headers, etc.).
- Skilled in layout and production design for handbooks, policy manuals, or training guides.
- Comfortable handling large, structured documents with multiple sections and contributors.
- Reliable, communicative, and deadline-driven.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in document editing, publishing, or manual production.
- Expertise in Google Docs formatting and collaboration tools.
