About The Role
FlowCandy is looking for a highly detail-oriented Financial Operations Manager available between 9am–5pm EST to own the financial rhythm that keeps our agency running smoothly. You’ll be responsible for ensuring accurate weekly reconciliations, executing biweekly Profit First allocations, preparing monthly financial insights, maintaining clean systems, and forecasting our financial health with clarity and precision. This role sits at the center of our operations — supporting leadership with reliable data, predictable cash flow, and insights that drive smart decisions.

What We’re Looking For:
#1 Own Weekly Reconciliation & Financial Accuracy
You’ll reconcile all financial accounts each week (Stripe, Amex, Gusto, bank accounts, QuickBooks) and maintain accurate categorization and reporting with near-zero variance.

#2 Manage Profit First Allocations & Cash Flow
You’ll run biweekly Profit First allocations on schedule and maintain clear structure across all financial buckets to support healthy and predictable cash flow.

#3 Deliver Monthly Reporting, Analysis & Insights
Each month, you’ll produce a clean financial package—including P&L, trend/variance analysis, spend analysis, and finalized profit-share data within five days of month-end—paired with clear takeaways for leadership.

#4 Maintain Systems, Integrations & SOPs
You’ll manage and improve the performance of financial systems (QuickBooks, Gusto, Stripe) and ensure all SOPs are current, accurate, and easy for the team to follow.

#5 Forecast Cash Flow & Monitor Expenses
You’ll maintain a rolling 90-day cash flow forecast, track monthly OpEx, flag anomalies or unused tools early, and help leadership make informed financial decisions.

Deliverables
  • Must-Have Skills & Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in finance operations, bookkeeping, accounting, or financial management (agency experience is a plus)
  • Strong understanding of Profit First or similar cash allocation frameworks
  • Proven experience with QuickBooks, bank reconciliation, and multi-account financial management
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and turn it into actionable insights
  • Experience preparing monthly reporting packages (P&L, forecasting, variance analysis)
  • High attention to detail — accuracy, timeliness, and consistency are everything in this role
  • Experience improving financial systems, integrations, dashboards, or automations
  • Comfortable with Google Apps (Gmail, Sheets, Drive, Calendar)
  • Experience using Slack for team communication
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills
  • High EQ — this role supports internal teams and requires clear, calm communication
