We are looking for a Framework & Workshop Designer (Business Focus)
Budget: $1,800 AUD/month retainer (20 hours/week)
Location Preference: Asia-Pacific region (Australia-friendly timezone)
##About the job##
We are a Strategy and Go-to-market agency who designs and delivers programs and workshops. these involve business frameworks, and learning materials for business leaders (these could be business owners all the way to large scale enterprises).
We use and leverage similar frameworks and thinking to IDEO, Strategyzer, Innosight etc..
We are looking for a skilled person who can transform my concepts and research into polished, pedagogically-sound visual frameworks and workshop materials.
This isn't just a design execution role. You'll be a thinking partner who can challenge my ideas, improve learning flows, and create tools that make complex business concepts simple and actionable.
##What You'll Do##
Research & Synthesis - (25%)
- Conduct secondary research on business topics (AI, strategy, innovation, leadership, etc.)
- Review articles, books, and competitive frameworks for insights
- Synthesize findings into key concepts and content breakdowns
Framework & Content Development (45%)
- Transform my wireframes and sketches into polished visual frameworks
- Design canvas-style tools (think Business Model Canvas, Value Proposition Canvas)
- Structure workshop flows: theory → tool → activity
- Create slide decks, workbooks, and participant handouts
- Iterate on frameworks based on learning design principles
Content & Script Development (15%)
- Write talking points and scripts for workshop delivery
- Develop facilitator guides and speaker notes
- Create clear, engaging explanations of complex concepts
Critical Thinking & Improvement (15%)
- Challenge framework structures that don't work
- Suggest better ways to visualize relationships and concepts
- Apply adult learning principles (Bloom's taxonomy, active learning)
- Think about how participants will actually USE the tools
##Your Background##
Must Have:
- Experience working with content creators, consultants, or coaches - You've supported thought leaders, not just corporate teams
- Learning/instructional design experience - You've created courses, workshops, or training programs (not just marketing materials)
- Framework thinking - Can see and design relationships, structures, hierarchies in business concepts
- Content writing skills - Can write scripts, talking points, and facilitator guides
- Visual design skills - Clean, professional design aesthetic
- PowerPoint mastery - All final outputs need to be in PowerPoint format (you can design in Figma/other tools, but must deliver in PPT with animations/transitions)
- Excellent English - Strong written and verbal communication for Western business contexts
- Portfolio - Must show examples of frameworks, workshop materials, or learning tools you've designed
- Fast-paced, entrepreneurial mindset - You thrive in agile environments, not slow corporate bureaucracy
##Nice to Have:##
- Experience with business strategy, coaching, or innovation content
- Familiarity with tools like Business Model Canvas, Lean Canvas, etc.
- Background in consulting, L&D, or facilitation
- Knowledge of design thinking, lean startup, or agile methodologies
- Experience creating content for online courses or digital products
##Working Style##
- Async-first: You can work independently with video walk-throughs and written briefs
- Retainer model: 15-20 hours/week with flexible scheduling
- Fast-paced: You're comfortable with quick iterations and evolving requirements
- Typical turnaround: 2-3 days for iteration cycles
- Tools: PowerPoint (primary), your design tool of choice for drafting
- Collaboration: Loom videos, shared docs, regular check-ins
##Selection Process##
I will shortlist chosen candidates for a paid test project to assess fit before final selection.

- Introduce yourself
- Walk through the portfolio piece you shared
- Explain your design thinking process
- Share why you prefer working with creators/consultants over corporate environments
4.Practical details:
- Your timezone
- Your availability (hours per week)
- Confirm you can commit to hours - rates will be negotiated with final candidates
