Microsoft Exchange Server Expert (On-Prem)

We’re looking for an experienced Microsoft Exchange Server (2016/2019)  & Exchange Server Subscription Edition (SE) professional to provide on-demand support for our on-premise mail server environment.

You’ll handle troubleshooting, setup verification, and general maintenance tasks.  ideal for someone available remotely to assist when issues arise or configuration changes are needed.

Typical Tasks:

1.Troubleshoot and fix mail flow or delivery delays
2. Resolve Outlook / OWA connectivity issues
3. Configure and verify send/receive connectors and transport rules
4. Manage mailbox databases, user permissions, and retention policies
5. Install or renew SSL certificates
6. Investigate and clean up Exchange logs or storage space
7.Review backup configuration (Veeam or Windows Backup)
8.Assist with Exchange CU updates or patch installations
9.Help with hybrid setup, Exchange Online connection, or migration support
10.Diagnose DNS or MX record-related issues affecting mail flow

Requirements:

✅ Hands-on experience with Microsoft Exchange Server 2016/2019
✅ Strong knowledge of DNS, SMTP, and SSL certificate setup
✅ Familiar with mail routing and anti-spam/filtering configuration
✅ Ability to troubleshoot Outlook client and connectivity problems
✅ PowerShell scripting experience for admin tasks
✅ Knowledge of hybrid Exchange / Office 365 setups
✅ Experience working with Exchange backup and restore tools
✅ Available for quick response (preferably during Australian business hours)
