Motion Designer with Strong Graphic Design Skills

I’m a solo freelance designer who’s been working with a YouTube and social-first brand. Their needs are expanding, and I can only be spread so thin. To keep up, I’m building a boutique creative studio to provide them with the support they need — and eventually to serve other content-driven clients as well.

My goal is to build a small, reliable team that can deliver consistent, high-quality design for YouTube and social media. This role is a chance to become part of the foundation of that new studio.

What you'll do:

Create motion graphics for YouTube shows: intros, outros, transitions, lower thirds, and other show package elements

Animate new or rebranded logos into motion graphic packages

Build reusable templates for recurring elements (lower thirds, transitions, promo motion assets)

Support with static graphic design tasks when motion demand is lighter (social graphics, merch mockups, general design needs)

Work within brand guidelines but bring creative input for new shows and rebrands

What I'm Looking For:

Strong skills in After Effects (or equivalent motion design software)

Experience creating motion graphics packages for shows, streaming, or YouTube

Good graphic design foundation (Photoshop/Illustrator) so you can assist with non-motion work

Ability to package deliverables cleanly for future use (templates, reusable comps)

Reliable communication and ability to meet deadlines

DETAILS

Ongoing monthly retainer, per client. Starting at ~10–20 hrs/month, with opportunities to grow as the studio brings on more clients.

Fully remote. Quality and consistency matter more than location.
