🔥 Romance Social Media Manager (Contemporary Romance Author) – Facebook & TikTok

I’m a contemporary romance author looking for a long-term social media/content manager who understands the romance genre and can help grow my audience across Facebook and TikTok.

This is very niche work — if you don’t read romance or don’t have experience with BookTok-style content, this is not the right job.
Your responsibilities will include:
Creating 7 short Facebook posts per week (quotes, tropes, teasers, character spotlights, engagement questions)
Creating 2–3 TikTok/Instagram Reels per week (using my existing images, quotes, tropes, Canva animations, CapCut templates — no filming required)
Scheduling all content weekly
Daily engagement: responding to comments/messages in a warm, author-appropriate voice
Monthly content calendar
Weekly performance summary (engagement, follower growth, best/worst post, recommendations)
Part of this role includes reading my manuscripts to understand the characters, tropes, and emotional arcs. Reading time is paid at your hourly rate with an estimated 5–6 hours for an 80K novel.
Required:
✔ Must be an active romance reader (especially contemporary, sports, or mafia romance)
✔ Fluent, natural American English
✔ Experience creating BookTok-/Romance-style posts
✔ Strong writing voice (warm, flirty, emotional, trope-forward)
✔ Graphic creation in Canva
✔ Basic video editing (CapCut or similar)
✔ Understanding of KU readers and romance tropes
Nice to Have:
– Familiarity with newsletters (MailerLite)
– Experience growing Facebook pages
– Ability to repurpose content for multiple platforms
Hours: ~6–8 hours per week
Long-term: Yes, ongoing
Rate: Competitive – please provide your expected hourly rate.
