Social Media Graphic Designer (Long-Term Collaboration)

We’re looking for a skilled, creative, and reliable Graphic Designer to work with us on an ongoing basis. Your primary responsibilities will be designing high-performing YouTube thumbnails and engaging social media visuals across Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook, all aligned with Vocational Training Hub’s brand guidelines.
You’ll also produce ad creatives, infographics, carousels, and sector-specific graphics that match our visual identity. Originality, attention to detail, and an understanding of what performs well online are essential for this role.
This is a long-term freelance collaboration with consistent weekly work (approx. 20–25 designs per week). AI tools will play a key part in your workflow to support rapid ideation and variation creation, but the final output must always feel uniquely designed, not generic or templated.
Key Responsibilities
- Design high-impact YouTube thumbnails optimised for strong click-through rates (including A/B test variations).
- Create branded visuals for Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
- Produce ad creatives, infographics, carousels, and sector-specific graphics as required.
- Follow Vocational Training Hub’s brand guidelines with consistency and accuracy.
- Use AI design tools to support idea generation and speed up production without compromising quality.
- Keep up with social and YouTube design trends to ensure content stays modern and competitive.
- Work closely with the marketing and content team to meet weekly deadlines.
- Maintain organised design files for easy shared access.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong graphic design background with a portfolio that includes digital content and YouTube thumbnails.
- Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva Pro, Figma, or equivalent tools.
- Ability to create original, distinctive visuals that stand out.
- Confident using AI tools for ideation, editing, and workflow efficiency.
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling, composition, and brand consistency.
- Reliable, fast, and able to manage multiple design requests independently.
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)
- Proven success improving YouTube CTR through thumbnail design.
- Motion graphics or light animation skills for social assets.
- Experience designing for education, training, or care sectors.
- Understanding of YouTube performance analytics.
