Project Overview
I’m looking for an experienced China marketing specialist to help us reach Chinese-speaking audiences in Australia and generate leads for our fitness studios. Ideal if you’ve run campaigns on WeChat and/or Xiaohongshu (RED), but I’m also open to your recommendations on other effective platforms (e.g. Weibo, Douyin, etc.).

This is a 1–2 month initial project with the potential to extend if results are good.

About the Business

We are a network of EMS (electro-muscle stimulation) fitness studios operating across major cities in Australia. Our main offer is a 20-minute, low-impact, full-body workout suitable for busy professionals and people who want efficient, joint-friendly training

Target Audience

Chinese-speaking people living in Australia, especially in cities where we have studios (Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane, etc.):

Age: 25–55
Gender: Men & women

Profile:
- Health-conscious older people, interested in weight loss, body shaping, and overall wellness
- Young & mid-career professionals, office workers
- Busy parents and time-poor individuals

Middle to higher income, willing to pay for premium services

Main Objective: Generate qualified leads/trial bookings for our studios from this audience.

Scope of Work

1. Strategy & Planning (Week 1–2)
- Review our business, current offers, website, and customer profile
- Recommend the best platform mix (WeChat, Xiaohongshu, others) for Chinese audience in Australia
- Define goals, KPIs, and funnel (awareness → interest → lead)
- Propose a content and campaign plan for 1–2 months

2. Account Setup & Optimisation (Week 1–3)
- Set up or optimise:
- WeChat Official Account and/or mini-program (if relevant)
- Xiaohongshu / other recommended platform accounts
- Set up basic tracking, links, and lead flow (landing page, form, or chat-based lead capture)

3. Content & Campaign Execution (Ongoing during project)
- Create and/or localise content in Chinese (posts, articles, creatives)
- Launch and manage paid campaigns (where needed) aimed at lead generation
- Suggest and manage any community/group strategies if relevant (e.g. WeChat groups, KOL/KOC collaborations)
- Coordinate with me so we can integrate leads into our CRM / follow-up system

4. Reporting & Optimisation

Provide simple weekly reports (what was done, key metrics, learnings)

Recommend optimisations to improve lead volume and quality

Requirements
- Proven experience with WeChat marketing, Xiaohongshu, or similar Chinese platforms
= Experience targeting Chinese-speaking audiences outside of China (ideally in Australia or similar markets)
= Strong understanding of performance/lead generation campaigns, not just awareness
- Ability to write and localise content in Simplified Chinese and English

Comfortable collaborating via chat/Zoom and iterating together

Please include in your proposal:
- A short intro about your experience with WeChat/Xiaohongshu and China marketing
- Relevant portfolio or case studies (especially campaigns targeting overseas Chinese audiences, or lead-gen campaigns)
- Your suggested approach in 3–5 bullet points

Confirmation that you’re comfortable working within the budget and timeline

Budget & Timeline
- Budget: USD $500–$700 per month for your service fee (ad spend will be separate and covered by us)

- Timeline: Initial 1–2 month test, with potential extension if performance is good
