Freelance Copywriter

I have been a professional copywriter for over 20 years. I spent my formative years at Hunt Marketing Group in Seattle, WA learning the ins and outs of direct marketing. After 5 years at HMG, I literally crossed the street and began working for Amazon.com. At Amazon.com, I worked as an internal freelancer of sorts. I was the main writer for Amazon.com's marketing department and I also stepped in to lend a hand when new product categories were launched--which was about every five minutes at that time. After a year at Amazon.com, my Rolodex was full of smart, generous, talented people, and I finally felt confident launching my own freelance career. What I love most about my job: People are wacky creatures, and I'm constantly on a mission to understand the quirks and mindsets that fuel their desires and pet peeves. I know that if I can figure those things out--or at least get close--I can create something that's fresh, and relevant and ideally doesn't feel like marketing at all.
