❝ Did You Know That Less Than 1% of Users Visit Page 2 of Search Results? ❞
But, is ranking your business on page 1 ever enough? Not really! Earning organic search results is a tough game of gaining trust from your target audience.
In fact, appearing on the first page won’t mean much if your site doesn’t rank in the top 3 spots. Why so? When users search for something online, we all go for nothing but Trust and Authority.
This means that even on the first page, users/searchers will always consider the top 3–5 positions as Google’s most trusted search results. I call them the ‘Creme De La Creme’ SERPs
The top 3 SERP positions on Page#1 Get 75% of All Clicks. Going down the list, results ranking in the 4th–10 positions share the remaining 25%.
Let's take a look at the strategic steps my clients follow to get started...
𝗠𝗬 𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗖 𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗔𝗖𝗛 — 𝗜𝗡-𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗦𝗘 𝗦𝗘𝗢 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗝𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗦
STAGE 1: PROJECT INITIATION
Purpose: Setting the foundation for the project by defining its purpose, objectives and feasibility. This way, I can fully understand my client’s needs, initial requirements and what is expected from both parties during the project (Start to Completion)
Questions to Ask🤔:
Is this project feasible?
What’s the ultimate goal?
What problem are we trying to solve?
What outcome are we trying to achieve?
How will we measure the success of this project?
What are the communication Requirements?
STAGE 2: PLANNING PHASE
Here, Raymond defines the cost, resources, schedule, and appropriate approach for the particular project to ensure the client understands my roles and responsibilities. That is, who will be responsible for what during the execution process.
Questions to Ask🤔:
What are the tasks and activities required to achieve the objectives?
What’s the budget to cover all necessary expenses?
What resources do we have to work with?
What’s the estimated timeline/deadline to complete the work?
What potential risks are we taking?
Have we developed any risk mitigation strategies?
What is the communication channel and reporting mechanism?
STAGE 3: EXECUTION PROCESS
The client gives a greenlight to launch the project (some prefer a kickoff meeting). Raymond begins working on their roles tailored toward the project’s objectives. For long-term or ongoing milestones, SEO Raymond will provide weekly, or monthly reports to keep the client updated regarding work progress.
Questions to Ask🤔:
What tracking and monitoring system are we using?
Are there any issues or obstacles that need to be addressed?
Are quality standards being met?
Are we staying within budget?
When will we have our recurring status meetings?
What are we doing to avoid any negative consequences?
STAGE 4: PERFORMANCE & PROGRES TRACKING
A chance for my client to oversee the project’s progression. We’ll use KPIs to measure project performance and also actively work to resolve any issues or roadblocks that may arise.
Questions to Ask🤔:
How is the project coming along so far?
Where are we in terms of budget?
Are we on schedule?
Are we tracking progress against the project plan?
Are there any deviations from the original plan, and if so, why?
Are risks being managed effectively?
Are we still on track to meet the project scope, deadlines and goals?
STAGE 5: PROJECT CLOSEOUT
Looking back at the project and wrapping it up! Raymond and the client evaluate the project’s overall performance and deliverables against the predefined objectives and goals.
The client receives a final report entailing the key metrics, achievements, challenges, and recommendations based on the project’s implementation.
Questions to Ask🤔;
Have all deliverables been completed and approved?
Did the project achieve its objectives and goals?
What were the key successes and challenges encountered?
How did the project performance compare to initial expectations?
Have we archived all project documentation and materials for future reference?
What lessons/insights did we get from the project?
