Occupational Therapist OTR/L, Health Writer/Editor

I am a practicing Occupational Therapist with a master's degree from Maryville University and a bachelor's degree in health management with an emphasis in exercise science and a minor in psychology from Southeast Missouri State University. I have been a clinician for 4 years with work experience with individuals across the lifespan in the settings of outpatient hand therapy, outpatient neurological and orthopedic rehabilitation, and acute care. I have had further volunteer experiences in skilled nursing and community settings. I have been trained in through documentation techniques which include accurate recording and review of medical information. Examples include evaluations, assessments, educational materials, letters of medical necessity, and communication with medical doctors and nurses. With my academic background, I have experience in completing written projects which include grant writing, research studies, review of academic articles, health and wellness essays, and educational handouts. The greatest part of being an OT is to help others reach their full potential and I plan to take that same dedication and apply it to your endeavors. My skills provided would lend themselves to working with articles, research papers, blogs, content writing or reviewing of content in a health related field. However, if your passion lies outside of those parameters, do not hesitate to reach out- a unique collaboration can make the most successful project!
