SKILL HIGHLIGHTS - Knowledge of medical plans - HMOs, PPOs, Worker's comp, Medicare and Services / Procedures - CPT and HCPCS coding for US Medical Billing - Maintain strict confidentiality - Behavioral Health, Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, OB-GYN, Physical Therapy, OB-GYN, Pain Management, Neurology, Vascular Study experience - Good written and verbal communication - Strong work ethics - Strong planning skills - HIPAA compliance •Prepare and maintain the financial reports on weekly, monthly and yearly basis. •Appropriately and correctly identify errors and re-filed denied/rejected claims as they were received. •Submit refund requests for claims paid in error. •Ensure timely and accurate charge submission through electronic charge capture, including the billing and account receivables system and clearing house. •Prepare and attach all required claims documentation including referrals, treatment plans or other required correspondence to reduce incidence of denials. •Responsible for billing medical claims via electronic media and resolving the rejected claims. •Remain up-to-date with all insurance requirements, including the details of patient financial responsibilities. •Maintenance of all Medical Billing database. •Handle the medical billing process assigned, on behalf of the doctors by working on the individual systems. •Post charges, payments, and adjustments. •Follow up for any denied/rejected/pending claims. •Perform quality control of the data entry system to verify that claims and payments were posted correctly. •Timely billing of claims from superbills, applying payments & adjustments after proper quality checks. •Manage the reconciliation of the accounts receivable on daily basis. •Prepare and e-mail the exception report every day to the US client. •Carefully code disease and injury diagnoses, acuity of care and procedures in an outpatient setting. •Accurately enter procedure codes, diagnosis codes and patient information into billing software. Transcription Services - - Transcription of medical summaries for the doctors of all specialties - 35 to 40 dictations of 45 to 50 lines (each of 7 to 10 minutes) - Maintain accuracy and speed of above 90% with excellent proofreading skills - Transcribe 350 lines per day
