German to English and English to German Translator

I am a US citizen who has been residing in the PNW for the past decade. After discovering my love for languages, I went to university and received both a BA and MA in German Language, Literature, & Culture. After I completed my MA (in the middle of COVID, no less!), I went into a degree in social sciences because I wanted to gain quantitative research skills. I have achieved C1 fluency in German according to the CEFR, meaning that I am capable of understanding German at an advanced level. I have lived in both Austria and Germany and have a particular love of dialects. In my degree program, I received training in translation and transcription. I also possess a limited working proficiency in Spanish as well as American Sign Language. As a social scientist, I am a skilled qualitative worker as well as quantitative analyst. My favorite part of social science research is data visualization--be that through maps, graphs, or other visual media. My projects have focused on health equality in the United States, which I consider my truest passion. In my spare time, I am a creative writer with a proclivity for poetry. I also write short stories, and would be open to work in this field. Additionally, I have some vocal training and am open to voice acting gigs. Thank you for reading my profile!
