English - German Translator - Novel Translations

I was raised bilingual by a British mother and a German father. I studied Law in Germany and in the USA, where I obtained my LL.M. from Temple University in Philadelphia and then passed the New York Bar Exam. Some years later I did an MBA at Oxford Brookes University. I have been doing translations for several years now, mainly books, and also translated some of my own novels from English into German. I specialize in novel translations from English into German. Due to my skills and experience in fiction writing (seven historical novels) my literary translations are not only accurate, but also capture the essence of the author's writing style and the atmosphere of the book. Further work experience: For several years I worked in the HR departments of large international firms such as PwC and EY, taking care of international assignments, developing intercultural trainings. Documents (including contracts or policies) were both in English and German, I occasionally translated them as needed. Communication and trainings took place in German and English as well. For more than 12 years I have been working as a freelancer doing intercultural trainings (English and German) and teaching Legal English (I am TEFL-certified). I wrote two books in English for expats coming to Germany ("Coming to and Living in Germany" and "Discovering Frankfurt and the Rhein-Main Area with Children").
