Ephox is the maker of TinyMCE, the world's leading, open source rich-text (WYSIWYG) editor. We require a graphic representation of the editor's keyboard shortcuts.
The design will be used in various mediums such as blog posts and social media, either whole or in part, and needs to clearly articulate its purpose in multiple use cases.
Some guidance on the design:
+ The keyboard part of the design should be an illustration, not a photograph.
+ The keyboard design should be generic enough, and clear enough, to highlight both Mac and Windows shortcut options.
+ It should include a written version of the shortcut (possibly under the keyboard design?)
+ It would ideally also include some form of graphic representation of at least the common shortcuts within the keyboard design, if not all.
+ [update] one use case would be a printed format for end-users of the editor
+ [update] some design real estate should be available to explain a small number of shortcut workflows, e.g. cmd-c, cmd-v, cmd-v for very specific use cases.
Attached are some images as inspiration, but you should use your own insights and experience based on the requirements of this job.
The list of shortcuts that must be included in the design can be found here:
