UK Accountant Needed — Limited Company, Xero, Bookkeeping & Payroll

I’m looking for an accountant experienced with UK limited companies to organise our accounts and provide ongoing bookkeeping, payroll and practical advice. We sell clothing online. The company started trading in January 2026, paused for a few months and plans to restart from 1 November. Current sales are through Whatnot. During the pause, I traded as a sole trader, so I need help separating the records and arranging a clear handover back to the company. Initial work * Reconcile company bank transactions from January onwards and match platform payouts to sales, fees and refunds. * Review expenses, stock purchases, account transfers and the director’s loan account. * Review an earlier payment intended as salary that wasn’t processed through payroll. * Check the existing PAYE scheme, outstanding filings and HMRC/Companies House deadlines. * Set up or tidy Xero, bank feeds and receipt collection. * Advise on transferring stock, equipment and trading arrangements from sole trader to company. * Establish a simple stock-recording process. Ongoing support * Fortnightly bookkeeping and bank reconciliation. * Monthly payroll for two people, including HMRC submissions and workplace pension duties where applicable. * A monthly profit and cash-flow summary, including tax to set aside. * Annual company accounts and Corporation Tax returns. * Support with the Companies House confirmation statement. * Monitor VAT turnover and advise on registration and returns when required. * Practical advice on salaries, dividends, expenses and director’s loans. * Sole-trader accounts and personal Self Assessment, quoted separately if necessary. Experience with ecommerce and platform payouts would be helpful. Knowledge of Universal Credit treatment for company owners would also be useful. I estimate 4–6 hours of ongoing work per month initially, subject to your assessment, with the initial clean-up and annual filings priced separately. I’m open to a fixed monthly package.
