AI Agent Builder – Build Practical AI Agents & Automations for Our Venture Studio

AI AGENT BUILDER – BUILD PRACTICAL AI AGENTS & AUTOMATIONS We are building an AI-first Venture Studio and are looking for a highly pragmatic AI Agent Builder to work with us on an ongoing basis. We don't need someone to give us presentations about AI. We want someone who builds. Our goal is to continuously identify operational tasks inside our businesses that can be handled, accelerated or improved by AI agents and automation. You will help us design, build, test and improve these agents — quickly. WHAT WE WANT TO BUILD This is not about building one isolated chatbot or automation. We want to continuously build practical AI agents and workflows across our Venture Studio. Examples include: • HR / Recruiting Agents Interview candidates, ask dynamic follow-up questions, evaluate answers, score candidates and create structured candidate summaries. • Content & Research Agents Research markets and competitors, identify interesting topics, create content ideas, produce drafts and manage parts of the publishing workflow. • Advertising / Creative Agents Analyze competitors and advertising data, identify winning angles, generate hooks, scripts and creative concepts, and feed learnings back into new iterations. • Market Research Agents Continuously research markets, products, competitors, trends and potential new business opportunities. • Performance Agents Analyze campaign and business data, identify anomalies and opportunities, and produce actionable recommendations. • Operations Agents Automate repetitive internal workflows involving documents, data, communication, reporting and decision support. And many more. We expect to build new agents continuously. HOW WE WANT TO WORK Our philosophy is simple: BUILD → TEST → USE → LEARN → IMPROVE We don't want to spend weeks designing the perfect architecture before something works. If an agent can be built in 4 hours instead of 4 days, that's interesting to us. If an existing tool solves 80% of the problem, use it. If a simple workflow works better than a complicated multi-agent architecture, build the simple workflow. We care about business outcomes, speed and usability — not technical complexity for its own sake. TECHNOLOGY We are open regarding the exact stack. Depending on the problem, you might use: • OpenAI / ChatGPT • Claude • APIs and tool calling • n8n • Make • Zapier • Low-code / no-code tools • Python • JavaScript / TypeScript • Databases / vector databases • Browser automation • MCP • Existing AI SaaS products • Custom lightweight applications We are NOT looking for someone who insists on coding everything from scratch. Your job is to find the fastest robust solution to the business problem. IMPORTANT: TEACH US WHILE YOU BUILD We don't want a black box. Part of your role is helping us understand: • How did you build it? • Why did you choose this approach? • How can we modify it ourselves? • How can we build the next one faster? You should document the important workflows and explain them in a practical way. Our goal is not only to accumulate AI agents. Our goal is to become extremely good at building and deploying AI agents ourselves. WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR The ideal person is: PRAGMATIC You prefer having something working today over discussing what could theoretically work next month. AI-NATIVE You use current AI tools every day and constantly experiment with new ways of getting more done. ENTREPRENEURIAL You think about the business problem first and the technology second. RESOURCEFUL You combine APIs, existing tools, low-code systems and custom code instead of automatically building everything yourself. FAST You are comfortable shipping V0.1, seeing what happens and improving it immediately. OPINIONATED If we suggest an unnecessarily complicated solution, we want you to tell us. ABOUT US We are building an AI-first Venture Studio focused on rapidly launching and scaling digital businesses. The entrepreneurs behind the studio have previously built and scaled digital businesses and ventures to $100M+ scale. Our approach is highly execution-driven: FIND OPPORTUNITIES → BUILD QUICKLY → TEST WITH REAL USERS → SCALE WHAT WORKS → KILL WHAT DOESN'T AI is not a side project for us. We want AI deeply embedded across research, product development, recruiting, marketing, advertising and operations. This means there can be substantial ongoing work for the right person. What did it do and what tools did you use? 2. Give us 2–3 examples of business processes you've automated using AI. 3. Which tools do you currently use most for building agents, and why? 4. Imagine we ask you to build an AI recruiting agent that interviews candidates by voice, dynamically asks follow-up questions and produces a structured candidate scorecard. How would you approach the first working version? 5. What is something people are currently overengineering with AI agents that you would solve much more simply? Please include links to actual projects, demos, GitHub repositories or other examples of your work where possible. We care much more about what you've actually built than certificates, degrees or job titles. THE OPPORTUNITY This starts as a paid freelance collaboration through Upwork. We want to start with real problems, build real agents and see how we work together. For the right person, this can develop into a substantial ongoing collaboration as we build more and more of our Venture Studio operations around AI.
