B2B Cold Caller and Appointment Setter for HVAC AI Receptionist
Worldwide
We are hiring one experienced cold caller and appointment setter to contact HVAC business owners in Florida. MITS SFL provides a managed AI receptionist that answers missed and after-hours calls in English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole. Your job is to introduce the service, speak with the person responsible for phones or scheduling, and book a 15-minute demonstration. This is not a closing role. You will not negotiate contracts, quote custom work, or onboard customers. Jean will conduct the demonstrations, handle follow-up, and close qualified prospects. WHAT YOU WILL DO • Call HVAC businesses from a list we provide • Ask for the owner or person responsible for phones, dispatch, or scheduling • Follow the approved opener and objection guide • Explain the service clearly without exaggerating what it can do • Book interested decision-makers for a 15-minute demonstration • Confirm the prospect's name, company, phone number, email address, and meeting time • Record every call outcome accurately in our CRM • Record callback requests and opt-outs immediately • Share useful objections and feedback from business owners We provide the business list, script, objection guide, CRM access, booking process, and product training. WHAT YOU MUST NOT DO • Do not quote, estimate, or hint at prices. Route every pricing question to Jean during the demo. • Do not promise an integration, appointment, result, or feature that has not been approved • Do not claim we already work with a company unless that is true • Do not keep pitching after someone asks not to be contacted • Do not export, copy, or reuse our contact list • Do not use an autodialer, AI voice, or your own calling system • Do not contact prospects outside the provided workflow ONE CONVERSATION PER BUSINESS You may attempt each company up to three times within five business days. Vary the day of the week between attempts. Three calls on three consecutive mornings is really one attempt repeated. The campaign ends the moment you reach a human. If you speak with the decision-maker, you either book them or disqualify them, and that company is closed either way. If a gatekeeper tells you they are not interested, that company is closed too. Two exceptions: • If someone invites a callback at a specific time, that is a scheduled attempt and does not count against the three. • Leave one voicemail, on the second attempt only, never on the first or third. If a business asks not to be contacted, close it permanently and record the opt-out immediately. A no-answer tells us nothing about a business, so we do not treat it as a rejection. A bad conversation does cost us that company permanently. That is why we care far more about how you talk to people than how many dials you make. Disqualifying a business quickly and honestly is worth more to us than an extra appointment, and it will never count against you. Every call outcome is logged with its attempt number automatically. We use that to decide how the next batch is worked. The schedule is deliberately part-time for the same reason. We would rather work a good list carefully than burn through it. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR • At least one year of outbound cold-calling or appointment-setting experience • Experience calling U.S. small-business owners • Clear, confident spoken English • Comfortable speaking with gatekeepers and decision-makers • Able to follow a script without sounding as if you are reading it • Accurate with names, phone numbers, email addresses, and CRM notes • Reliable internet and a quiet workspace • A wired USB or 3.5 mm headset with a boom microphone. Built-in laptop microphones and Bluetooth earbuds such as AirPods are not acceptable. They pick up room echo and make you sound distant and unprofessional to the prospect. We will verify your headset on the interview call. • HVAC, home-services, SaaS, or AI-services experience is helpful • Philippines-based applicants are preferred SCHEDULE — PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM U.S. Eastern time. That is 2 hours a day, 10 hours a week. For a Philippines-based setter that is 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM Manila time. Please apply only if you can work these hours consistently. The window is fixed, because U.S. businesses can only be reached during their own working day. Expected pace is 30 to 40 dials per shift, with an accurate CRM outcome recorded for every call. This is a part-time role by design and it suits someone who wants a steady, focused daily block rather than full-time hours. If the campaign produces useful conversations and accurate records, there is more work after it. COMPENSATION • Hourly rate within the posted $5 to $8 range • Expected starting rate is approximately $6/hour, based on experience and voice quality • $15 bonus for every qualified demonstration that is held • Two-week paid trial, with continued work available if the campaign produces useful conversations and accurate records A qualified held meeting means: • The attendee is the owner or person responsible for phones, dispatch, customer service, or scheduling • The required contact information is complete and accurate • The meeting was booked through the approved process • The prospect attends and participates in the demonstration YOU ARE PAID WHETHER OR NOT THE PROSPECT BUYS. If the prospect attends the demonstration and then says no, that is still a qualified held meeting and the $15 bonus is paid in full. We would much rather you book honest prospects than fill a calendar. Cancelled meetings, no-shows, duplicate businesses, test appointments, and incomplete handoffs do not qualify for the bonus. Two exceptions to that: • If a prospect cannot attend, one reschedule is allowed. If the rescheduled meeting is held within 10 days, the bonus is paid. If they miss a second time, that company is closed. • If we cancel or miss the meeting, the bonus is still paid. You did your job. Every meeting is reviewed and approved within 48 hours and recorded in our CRM, so you always know where you stand. Nothing is decided at invoice time. HOW TO APPLY Start your proposal with the word HVAC. Please answer these questions: 1. How many years have you spent calling U.S. businesses? 2. Which industries have you called? 3. What dialers and CRM systems have you used? 4. What were your typical daily call volume and appointment results? 5. Can you work Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM U.S. Eastern time, which is 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM Manila time? 6. Describe how you handle a gatekeeper who asks, "What is this regarding?" 7. Attach a 60 to 90-second audio recording directly to your Upwork proposal. Introduce yourself and read this sample: "Hi, this is [your name] with MITS SFL. We provide managed AI receptionist services for HVAC companies so missed and after-hours calls are answered and appointment requests are captured. I'm calling to see whether your company loses calls to voicemail and whether a 15-minute live demonstration would be useful. Are you the person who handles that?" 8. What headset will you use for these calls? Give the make and model. Applications without the requested audio sample and answers will not be reviewed.
