Bilingual Children's Book Editor

I’m currently preparing my bilingual children’s book, Let’s Use Our Voice / Usemos Nuestra Voz, for illustration and publication, and I’m looking for an editor to complete a final editorial review of the manuscript. The book is written in English and Spanish and is intended for young children, approximately ages 3–8. At this stage, the overall story and message are established, so I’m not looking for a major rewrite. I’m mainly looking for someone who can help strengthen the writing and make sure the manuscript feels polished, engaging, and ready for publication. I would especially like help with grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, natural wording in both English and Spanish, story flow, and read-aloud quality. I also want feedback on places where the writing may feel too flat, repetitive, or overly explanatory. I’d love an editor who can suggest where a word, phrase, or sentence could be added, removed, shortened, or rewritten so the story feels more lively and engaging for children while still preserving the educational message about boundaries, speaking up, trusted adults, consent, and using your voice. Because this is a picture book, I also want the writing and illustrations to work together rather than having the text explain everything that is already visible in the artwork. I’ll provide the full bilingual manuscript along with a separate set of AI-created visual mockups. These are not the final illustrations and will not replace the work of the human illustrator. I created them only as visual references to communicate scene ideas, character interactions, and what information may already be conveyed through the artwork. I thought they would also be helpful to the editor when deciding where text can be simplified or adjusted. I would also appreciate your feedback on the bilingual presentation. For example, I’m considering visually distinguishing the English and Spanish text possibly through different text colors or another subtle design choice and would welcome any suggestions you may have from a readability or children’s-book perspective. My goal is to move the manuscript into the final illustration stage and toward publication, so I’m looking for a careful final pass that helps elevate the writing to a professional children’s-book standard while still keeping my original voice, cultural elements, and message intact.
