CAD Drawing

We want to register the design of one of our products. This will protect us from anyone trying to copy the design. We need to submit drawings of the design with the application. We were advised that the CAD should be black-and-white line drawings, including views of the design from all sides. Advisor 1: "I would suggest that we look to file black and white line drawings for these. This is the broadest scope of protection. For the nest, we would otherwise need to file for every type of surface fabric/colour (or actively disclaim them). Ideally we should show different planar views to accurately represent what the final product would look like – for the nest there is no indication of what the rear of the nest looks like, or the radius of curvature of the rear/corners, which leaves quite a bit open to interpretation. Do you have any other renders/material from the manufacturers?" "I can ask a draughtsman for a quote for preparing some black and white line drawings for each of the two products, and what else would be useful for him. Are you happy for me to go ahead with that? I suspect he would have some questions on the nest, like how deep does the cavity go? Are the walls a consistent thickness around the entrance and the whole body?" Advisor 2: "In relation to the registered designs, we will need CAD and line drawings, each with 7 views of each design: 1x top, 1x bottom, 1x each side view, 1x front, 1x back, 1x perspective view. The drawings can be colourless. The illustrations must also not include anything not part of the designs themselves, including measurements"
