Creating PDF Proofs for Business Cards and Verifying Design Files for Printing

Part-time contract (with potential for long-term work) About Us PRINTPEPPERMINT.COM specializes in designing and printing refreshingly creative, high-end business cards. We’re looking for a detail-oriented designer to join our team and help ensure every customer’s artwork is perfectly prepared for print. Role Overview This position starts as a 1-week trial with the strong possibility of turning into a long-term, part-time contract if it’s a good fit. Your main responsibility will be to review and prepare customer art files for print production, ensuring they meet our quality standards. What You’ll Do Review incoming art files and check for: -Separate PDF files for front and back -Minimum 1/8 (.125) bleed on all sides -CMYK color mode (not RGB) -300 DPI resolution -Outlined text/fonts -Flattened transparencies -Pantone swatches converted to CMYK values Create two sets of files: -Print-ready files -Proof files (with estimated red cut line) for customer approval Tools We Use Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop (other programs acceptable if they output high-quality print files) Work Details -Volume of work varies (some days many files, some days fewer) -Flexible hours, but same-day turnaround is preferred Communication: Slack (team), Zendesk and email (customers), Skype (short term) What We’re Looking For -Strong attention to detail (quality is everything!) -Positive energy and good attitude -Ability to follow instructions -Reliable and consistent work ethic Why Join Us?
