Fantasy Environment & Landscape Concept Artist for Original Manga/Game World

I’m developing an original dark-fantasy/action universe called The Nations, and I’m looking for an environment and landscape concept artist to help establish the visual identity of the world. The story, characters, factions, power system, and major locations are already being developed. I need an artist who can take my written descriptions, references, and lore and turn them into original, detailed environments. What You’ll Design The world will include environments such as ancient cities, ninja territories, deserts, frozen regions, swamps, forests, mountains, temples, ruins, warrior camps, battlefields, supernatural locations, and other unique regions. I want each area to have its own identity while still clearly belonging to the same universe. The artwork may eventually be used as visual development for: * Manga/comic production * Book artwork * Promotional material * World maps and lore * A future mobile action RPG First Assignment I want to begin with one paid environment as a test project. For the first environment, I will provide the location’s description, history/lore, atmosphere, important landmarks, references, and its purpose within the story. I would like the artist to develop: * Rough environment concepts/thumbnails * 2–3 composition ideas * One detailed establishing shot * Final high-resolution environment * Color/lighting direction * Layered/source file when applicable If we work well together, there are many additional locations I would like developed. Style I’m looking for someone experienced with: * Fantasy/dark-fantasy environments * Anime/manga-inspired worlds * Environment concept art * Game environments * Architecture * Landscapes * Strong perspective * Lighting and atmosphere * Environmental storytelling * Large-scale locations Scale is important. Cities should feel massive, ruins should feel ancient, mountains should feel enormous, and dangerous areas should actually feel threatening. I want inspiration from anime, manga, fantasy, and games, but I do not want copies of existing properties. The Nations needs its own recognizable visual identity. Original Artwork I am looking for original artwork and original design work. Please be transparent about whether/how you use generative AI in your workflow. Commercial Rights This is a commercial project. Before beginning, we will agree on commercial usage/ownership rights, source-file delivery, revision terms, and portfolio/display rights. All existing names, locations, lore, characters, factions, story concepts, and other intellectual property I provide remain part of The Nations project.
