Full-Stack AI Agent Developer

## Project Overview I am looking for an experienced full-stack AI developer to build a personal AI-powered job search and application system that can search for jobs based on my selected preferences, evaluate whether each job is a good match for me, customize my resume for the specific position, complete job applications on my behalf, and track all applications in one centralized dashboard. The goal is to create an AI job-search assistant that can handle most of the repetitive work involved in searching and applying for jobs while keeping me in control of the final submission. ## 1. Job Preference Profile The system needs a dashboard where I can define my job-search criteria, including: * Desired job titles * Alternative job titles * Industries * Companies I want to work for * Companies I do not want to work for * Minimum salary * Desired salary * Hourly compensation * Full-time / part-time / contract * Remote / hybrid / onsite * Preferred locations * Maximum acceptable commute * Maximum travel percentage * Required education * Required certifications * Years of experience * Keywords I want included * Keywords I want excluded * Other personal job preferences I should be able to change these preferences at any time without needing a developer. ## 2. Job Search The AI should search available job sources, including LinkedIn, Indeed, company career pages, and other permitted job sources/integrations. The system should: * Find jobs matching my preferences * Collect the job description and requirements * Identify salary information when available * Identify location and work arrangement * Identify required qualifications * Identify experience requirements * Identify travel requirements * Identify employment type * Identify the application URL * Remove duplicate job postings The system should not simply search for keywords. It needs to understand the job description and compare it against my profile. ## 3. AI Job Evaluation For every job found, the AI should analyze the position against my preferences and qualifications. I want the system to clearly explain: * Why the job matches * Which requirements I meet * Which requirements I do not meet * Any potential concerns * Salary compatibility * Location compatibility * Experience compatibility * Qualification/certification requirements I should be able to establish hard rules such as: "Do not show me jobs below $90,000." "Do not apply to jobs requiring more than 25% travel." "Do not apply to overnight positions." "Only show full-time positions." These rules should be configurable. ## 4. Master Resume I will provide a master resume containing my actual education, employment history, skills, accomplishments, certifications, and other legitimate qualifications. The system should store this information in a structured format. The AI must NEVER invent employment history, education, certifications, accomplishments, or other qualifications. ## 5. AI Resume Customization For each qualified position, the AI should analyze the job description and create a tailored version of my resume. For example, if a job emphasizes: * OSHA compliance * Safety audits * Incident investigations * Employee training * Safety programs the AI should emphasize the relevant experience from my master resume. The system should be able to maintain multiple resume versions while keeping the master resume as the source of truth. ## 6. Application Agent This is one of the most important parts of the project. I want an AI/browser agent capable of navigating permitted job-application websites and completing applications on my behalf. The agent should be able to: * Open the application * Navigate multiple pages * Enter personal information * Select dropdown options * Enter employment history * Enter education * Upload the appropriate resume * Upload documents when necessary * Answer standard screening questions * Enter cover letters * Handle required fields * Recognize when an application cannot be completed * Stop and request human assistance when necessary The system should use browser automation/computer-use technology such as Playwright or an equivalent reliable solution. The developer must design the system to respect the applicable website terms, authentication requirements, rate limits, CAPTCHA/security mechanisms, and other restrictions. It should not attempt to bypass security or anti-bot protections. ## 7. Personal Answer Database The system should maintain a database of my standard application answers. For example: * Work authorization * Sponsorship * Years of experience * Salary expectations * Willingness to travel * Education * Certifications * Relocation * Employment preferences The AI should use these stored answers when appropriate. If a question is ambiguous, sensitive, unusual, or requires a personal judgment, the system should stop and ask me rather than guessing. ## 8. Human Approval System Initially, I want the system to operate in "Approval Mode." The AI can: 1. Find the job 2. Evaluate the job 3. Select the appropriate resume 4. Customize the resume 5. Fill out the application 6. Prepare the application for submission Then it should stop. I should receive something like: APPLICATION READY Company: ABC Corporation Position: EHS Manager Salary: $95,000–$115,000 Location: Dallas, TX Resume: EHS Manager Resume v3 Application questions completed: 18 [REVIEW APPLICATION] [APPROVE & SUBMIT] I want to be able to review and edit the information before the application is submitted. ## 9. Future Autopilot Mode The system should be designed so that automatic submission can eventually be enabled. For example, I may establish rules such as: * Salary ≥ $100,000 * Full-time * Dallas-Fort Worth or remote * Travel ≤ 25% * Job title matches approved positions * No unusual application questions * No additional approval required Applications meeting my predefined criteria could eventually be submitted automatically. This should be an optional feature that I can turn on or off. ## 10. Application Tracking / Job CRM Every application should be recorded automatically. The dashboard should track: * Company * Position * Job URL * Location * Salary * Date found * Date applied * Resume used * Cover letter used * Application status * Recruiter/contact information when available * Interview dates * Follow-up dates * Notes * Application history Suggested statuses: FOUND QUALIFIED APPLICATION PREPARING READY FOR REVIEW SUBMITTED RECRUITER CONTACTED PHONE SCREEN INTERVIEW OFFER REJECTED WITHDRAWN ## 11. Dashboard I want a simple dashboard where I can see: * New matching jobs * Applications ready for review * Applications submitted * Interviews * Pending follow-ups * Rejected applications * Offers * Search activity * Application statistics I should be able to click into a job and see the complete history. ## 12. Notifications The system should notify me when: * A high-priority job is found * An application is ready for approval * The AI needs an answer from me * An application has been submitted * A recruiter responds * An interview is scheduled * A follow-up is due * The application agent encounters an error Email and/or SMS notifications would be preferred. ## 13. AI Decision Rules I want the system to be highly configurable. The AI should follow my rules rather than making arbitrary decisions. There should be a distinction between: HARD RULES → Must be satisfied. PREFERENCES → Used to determine relevance but may be flexible. QUESTIONS → Require my approval. For example: HARD RULE: Salary must be at least $90,000. PREFERENCE: Prefer jobs paying $100,000+. HARD RULE: No more than 25% travel. PREFERENCE: Prefer remote/hybrid. QUESTION: If an application asks something the AI does not know, stop and ask me. ## 14. Security The system will contain sensitive personal information, including: * Resume * Address * Phone number * Email * Employment history * Education * Application information * Potentially login credentials Security needs to be treated as a major requirement. The developer should implement secure authentication, encrypted storage where appropriate, appropriate access controls, and secure handling of credentials/session information. ## 15. Architecture I am open to the developer's recommendations, but I expect the system to use a modern architecture such as: Frontend: React / Next.js Backend: Python or Node.js Database: PostgreSQL / Supabase AI: OpenAI API or another capable LLM Browser Automation: Playwright or equivalent The architecture should be modular so additional job sources and application systems can be added later. ## 16. Important Requirement I am NOT looking for a simple resume generator or a basic job scraper. I want a complete AI job-application agent capable of: SEARCHING → ANALYZING → MATC
