Full-Stack Engineer (Postgres, Next.js, AWS)

Title: Full-Stack Engineer (Postgres, Next.js, AWS), 20 hrs/week for 1 month, health tech About us Humaximus is a health tech platform that helps nonprofits and care organizations coordinate people, referrals and resources in one place. We're preparing to launch our Dallas–Fort Worth pilot and need an engineer to help build and harden the platform before real patient data goes live. The role - 20 hours a week for 1 month, remote - $650 USD for the month - You'll work alongside our lead engineer, who reviews all of your work What you'll work on You'll work across the whole platform wherever the team needs you most. That includes: - Building product features in Next.js and TypeScript, across our staff platform, patient app and partner portal - APIs and server-side logic, including checks that each user only sees what they're allowed to see - Database work in Postgres: schema changes, migrations, row-level security and query performance - AWS: helping move our Postgres database to AWS RDS, with secrets in Secrets Manager, least-privilege IAM, encryption and CloudWatch alarms - Monitoring and alerts: health checks, uptime alerts, error tracking, and logs with personal data scrubbed out - Backups with a tested restore that proves the data is complete - Automated tests, including security tests that prove one organization can never see another's data - Integrations such as email, text messaging and AI features, where AI never acts without a person's approval - Fixing bugs, reviewing code, and writing documentation Our stack Next.js (App Router), TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL (Supabase today, moving to AWS RDS), GitHub Actions. Must have - Next.js (App Router), TypeScript and Node.js - PostgreSQL: roles, row-level security, migrations, backups and restores - AWS: RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, Secrets Manager - Writing automated tests against a real database - A GitHub profile with code you personally wrote Nice to have - Supabase - AWS KMS and Terraform - Healthcare or HIPAA experience How we work - You'll work in our GitHub through pull requests - NDA required. - AI coding tools are fine, but you must be able to explain every line you submit.
