Fusion 360 Mechanical Engineer Needed for CAD Revisions & Guided Walkthroughs

We are looking for an experienced Fusion 360 designer to make precise, parameterized modifications to an existing bag design for Shoreflex. The base 3D models and initial technical drawings are already completed. This task requires specific structural additions, updating drawing annotations, ensuring the model remains flawlessly scalable, and walking us through the logic of the changes on live calls. The expected timeline for completion is 1 to 2 weeks. Confidentiality Notice: This project involves proprietary designs. By accepting this contract, you agree to strictly abide by Upwork’s default Terms of Service regarding confidentiality. No project files, screenshots, or design details may be shared online, used in public portfolios, or discussed with third parties. Key Deliverables & Tasks: Shell Additions: Model new shell components on the top and bottom of the bag. These must be exactly 5mm in thickness, and their length must perfectly match the length of the existing side shells. Parameterization Check: Ensure the new shells are fully parameterized so the design can scale multiple times without the geometry breaking. Foam Layering: Add and model the 2cm thick internal foam layer (currently mentioned only in text descriptions; it needs to be accurately represented in the 3D model). Update Technical Drawings: Reflect all new geometric changes in the technical drawings across all sizes. You can review the provided reference file, 1000060158.png, to see a snippet of the current drawing style and dimensioning format. Annotation Revisions: Update specific text descriptions and minor detailing on the existing technical drawings for all sizes as instructed. Step-by-Step Explanation Calls: You must be willing to jump on calls during the process to explain exactly what was changed and how the parameterization is structured. Think of this as a brief masterclass so the core engineering architecture is fully understood internally for future development. Requirements: Background: Educational background or professional degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering. Location: Preference for freelancers based in Europe, North America, or Australia. Software: Must work exclusively in Autodesk Fusion 360 (native source files will be provided and must be returned). Technical & Communication Skills: Proven experience with highly parameterized modeling, generating manufacturing drawings, and the ability to clearly explain complex engineering concepts. High attention to detail regarding specific thickness and length constraints.
