Joke Book Review: US person/parent needed to review kids' jokes for a family joke book (1 hr)

We are a small independent publisher of family activity books, and we are finishing a "Try Not to Laugh" advent calendar joke book for the US market: kids (ages 6 to 10) versus adults, one round of jokes per day in December. The jokes are written, but we are not native US speakers, so we want a real American person (ideally parent) to read them with fresh ears and tell us honestly which ones land and which ones fall flat. This is a quick, fun, one-hour job. No writing or design skills needed, just a good sense of what makes kids (and their parents) laugh. What you will do: - Read about 170 short question-and-answer jokes, plus a few short story lines and family game cards, on a simple online review page we send you - Mark each one OK, OUT or SWAP - Add a short note where something does not land (confusing, too old or too young, sounds un-American, not funny) - If you have a better wording, suggest it (optional, but very welcome) - Press "Submit" at the end, that's it Who we are looking for: - Native US English speaker - Ideally a parent, or someone who works with kids (teacher, coach, sitter, librarian), who reads jokes aloud with children aged about 6 to 10 - Honest and direct: an "OUT, this one is lame" helps us more than being polite - Man or woman, any background, no special skills needed How it works: The review happens on a web page we send you. Deliverable and timing: Your marks and notes, submitted on the review page. About 1 hour of work, ideally within 2 to 3 days of hire. We may ask for a second short pass later, which would be a separate, separately paid job. Long term: We publish kids and family books all year round, and there is always another joke book in the works. If this first pass goes well, we would love to make you our go-to reader and send you a new joke set every few weeks, each as its own short paid job.
