Literary fiction ghostwriter — an original standalone novel (Trial Chapter Post)

A note up front: I know some of these terms — the budget especially sit below standard market rates. This is my first projects as an author, self-funded with no prior books behind it, so my budget is limited. I'd rather be transparent than waste anyone's time, and I completely understand if the terms don't fit. I'm an author with a developed premise and clear creative direction for an original standalone novel. I bring the premise and the direction, and we build it out together into the finished book not a fixed, scene-by-scene outline, so your craft genuinely shapes it. It's a character-driven literary novel for general adult readers, and it can grow into a series, so I'm looking for a writer who wants to grow with it over time. What I need: - Strong character and dialogue craft - Comfort researching settings outside your own background where the story calls for it — careful research, and the honesty to flag uncertainty rather than fabricate - Sensitivity with real-world subjects and characters (handled with respect, never stereotype) - At least one completed fiction project (samples required) - Reliable chapter-by-chapter delivery - Fully human-written prose — no AI use of any kind (see the note below) How it works (please read before applying): - Samples first. Send two samples of your own fiction so I can judge fit, nothing confidential is shared at this stage. And better choose samples that match your choice from voices mentioned below. - NDA. If your samples fit, NDA need to be signed before sharing the premise. - Act One/small chapter (3000–3,500 words) as a trial and this is what the post advertise ($10). - The novel. If your Act One is the one, we do the book together: $200 for the completed novel (~80,000 words), with Act One included in that price, paid per chapter on delivery and approval — never in advance. Work-for-hire, full rights assigned to me. -Revisions are included. Each chapter is written to my direction and revised until it's approved before we move on. Approval is what marks a chapter complete and paid. I work collaboratively and give clear notes; I'm not looking to rewrite endlessly, but I do need each chapter to land before it's final. On AI: please read carefully. Every chapter must be fully human- written, with no AI used at any stage or for any purpose (including brainstorming, outlining, "polishing," formatting, or proofreading). I verify this throughout, using whatever methods and tools I judge appropriate, and I don't disclose them in advance. If AI use is found during the work, the affected chapters won't be approved or paid and the engagement ends. By taking the work you warrant it's your own original human writing; if AI use surfaces after delivery or publication, that's a breach of that warranty and I'll pursue the remedies available to me. I'd rather say this plainly now than have a problem later.
