Luxury & Rare-Item Sourcing Specialists — Initial Assessment for Future Paid Assignments

About VANDALUX VANDALUX is an early-stage demand-led marketplace currently in development and structured pre-launch validation. We are exploring a specialist human sourcing layer for selected buyer Searches that may remain unresolved after broader market discovery. We are looking to identify experienced independent luxury sourcers, personal shoppers, collectors’ agents or category specialists with genuine experience locating difficult-to-source items — including sold-out, discontinued, archival, collectible, limited-edition or otherwise hard-to-find pieces. Relevant categories may include luxury fashion, handbags, watches, jewellery, accessories and other high-value collectible items. This is not a styling role, general product-research role or standard e-commerce sourcing role. We are particularly interested in specialists who can reach opportunities beyond straightforward online search through established relationships with boutiques, dealers, collectors, resellers, private clients or other legitimate specialist channels. Current stage — Initial Assessment This opportunity is currently at an initial assessment and candidate-identification stage. No sourcing assignment is being commissioned at this stage. We are building a small shortlist of specialists whose experience, access and working methods appear potentially suitable for the VANDALUX model. Relevant candidates may subsequently be invited to a short assessment conversation. Specialists who successfully progress through this assessment may, at a later stage, be invited to participate in controlled paid sourcing assignments using suitable real buyer Searches, when VANDALUX reaches the appropriate validation stage. There is no employment commitment, exclusivity or guaranteed volume of future work. The purpose of this initial assessment is to identify specialists who may be suitable for later real-world validation. When applying, please answer the following: 1. Which luxury or collectible categories do you specialise in? 2. Which geographies and markets can you source from? 3. What legitimate specialist channels or relationships do you use beyond standard online search — for example boutiques, dealers, collectors, private clients or specialist resellers? 4. Please provide 2–3 examples of genuinely difficult items you have successfully sourced, and briefly explain how you located them. 5. Are you comfortable working from a precise Search brief and providing structured evidence regarding source, current availability, price, specification and any material uncertainty? 6. How would you normally prefer to be compensated for an individual sourcing assignment? We are intentionally keeping the initial specialist pool small. Applications will therefore be assessed primarily on demonstrated sourcing capability, relevant access and suitability for difficult real-world Searches rather than on general fashion or styling experience.
