Bench Assembly & Order Kitting – Small Hardware Parts (Local Only) Looking for a detail-oriented local assembler for repetitive bench assembly and small-parts kitting. This is independent contractor piecework on a batch-by-batch basis that you can complete at home or anywhere at your own pace. Job Overview: • Assembling small metal hardware components using split-ring pliers. • Tasks include opening small split rings to connect miniature rolling swivels and metal parts, ensuring rings spring back fully closed without warping or gaps, then connecting pins to each. • Packing 5 finished assemblies into small poly ziplock bags, adding a branded sticker cleanly to each bag, and sealing them. • Flexible schedule: meet/pick up components, complete the work at your own pace within an agreed timeframe, and return the completed batch. • Clear step-by-step instructional video and photo guides will be provided to show the exact assembly technique and quality standards. Cleanliness & Quality Standards: • Clean workspace and clean hands required at all times—finished parts, bags, and stickers must stay oil-free, dust-free, and fingerprint-free. Trial Milestone & Pay Structure: • Initial Trial Batch: 100 finished, bagged packs. • Pay: Fixed $85.00 milestone for the trial batch ($0.85 per finished pack). • Rate increases to $0.95–$1.00 per finished pack on subsequent, larger production runs (200–500+ packs) based on accuracy and quality. Location & Logistics: • Must be located in Northern New Jersey or the NYC metro area for in-person component handoff and batch return. • All tools (pliers), raw parts, stickers, packaging materials, and reference samples will be provided. Requirements: • Good manual dexterity, nimble fingers, and comfortable using small hand tools (pliers/tweezers). • Clean working habits, patience for handling small parts, and attention to detail. • No prior assembly experience required—just steady hands, a clean workspace, and the ability to follow the reference video.
