Proofreader & Light Copy Editor Needed for Speculative Fiction Novel

I’m looking for an experienced fiction proofreader/light copy editor for my debut contemporary speculative/psychological fantasy novel. This is primarily a proofreading + light copy-editing job, not developmental editing or rewriting. The manuscript will be delivered in two parts: Part 1: Chapters 1–20 are ready now. I need these returned within 2 weeks. Part 2: Chapters 21–32 will be delivered approximately 2 weeks from now. I need these returned within 2 weeks of delivery. I would like the same editor for both parts so style and editorial decisions remain consistent across the novel. 333 pages total. WHAT I NEED • Grammar, spelling and punctuation corrections • Typos, missing words and duplicated words caught • Awkward or unclear sentences flagged or lightly corrected • Unintentional repetition flagged • Character names, terminology and capitalization checked for consistency • Obvious continuity inconsistencies flagged • Occasional comments when something is genuinely confusing as a reader • Track Changes in Microsoft Word • A basic style sheet for names, terminology and recurring editorial decisions WHAT I DON’T NEED I am not looking for developmental editing, major restructuring or extensive rewriting. The novel has a distinct first-person voice, intentional fragments and conversational dialogue. I want that voice preserved. ABOUT THE NOVEL The novel is set in contemporary New York City and blends psychological fiction, mystery/thriller elements, queer fiction and supernatural/speculative fantasy. The story follows an advertising creative whose perception of reality begins to fracture as he becomes involved in an increasingly strange supernatural mystery. Experience with speculative fiction, contemporary fantasy, psychological fiction, thrillers or LGBTQ+ fiction is a plus.
