Short-Form Reels Editor with Taste (US Humor, Meme-Fluent) - Fitness/Lifestyle Creator

About us: We run several fast-growing Instagram accounts for a fitness and lifestyle creator, with millions of reel views a month. We already have editors for volume. This hire is for taste: someone who knows meme culture and spots new formats before they peak. What you'll do: - Turn the creator's raw footage into Reels and Trial Reels that feel native to US internet culture - Spot trends, sounds and meme formats early and adapt them before they peak - Write short, punchy on-screen captions and hooks in natural American English (POV, ironic, absurdist, relatable) - Create new formats for the other editors to copy, and give feedback on their edits - Edit in CapCut (or better) You're a fit if: - You're chronically online and know what's funny on TikTok, IG and X this week, not last year - Your captions sound natively American, not translated - You have an eye for pacing, first-second hooks and music choice - You're comfortable with fitness, fashion and swimwear content Pay: Hourly contract at $4-$5.50/hr depending on experience, about 40 hrs/week, paid weekly through Upwork. Rate review after 30 days. Flexible schedule. How we hire: 1. Send a proposal that answers the screening questions and links 5+ short-form videos you made. Public TikTok or IG links are best. For Drive files, include a screenshot of the views. 2. We invite 3-5 people to a paid trial: a $20 fixed-price Upwork contract (about 1 hour) to write caption and hook options for 2 of our raw clips and edit one into a meme format. 3. The best trial gets the hourly contract.
